And the Giraffe – Music video for Underground love

We love it when we keep in touch with bands we reviewed on our music blog Muzikablog.com. It means they appreciate our work and somehow it helped the band or artist get a little bit more the much needed publicity, fame and maybe who knows, new fans! If you are a musician or form part of a band, we promise you that we can help you in getting more fans. Unfortunately, we cannot promise you that they will be sexy though.
And the Giraffe, a band we reviewed last October just …

New Manhattan – Try Harder single music video

During September  this year, I got to know about a London based band called New Manhattan.  Leon Guthrie, a Muzikablog.com reviewer said “They managed to create small and personal snapshots in every track. With three tracks only lasting seven minutes, the songs are lean and chiselled, but perfect for smashing around in your room. This band certainly deserves to, and probably will, go far,” and he couldn’t be more right. Finally they also released a new music video for their single Try Harder. Nothing special, a simple straight forward video …

VIDEO: Stockpiling Poison by The Damn Jammage

The Damn Jammage is a promising new band from London. Their great mix of blues, punk and folkish sounds, accompanied by vocals which sound like God gargling with nails is mesmerizing, electrifying! Formed in 2010 they are almost ready to release their first EP. In the meantime they just released a video for their first EP single “Stockpiling Poison.” The video is also very mind boggling. Just be patient and wait for the end.

VIDEO: The White Lane by Low-Fi

The Italian band Low-Fi, whom self titled debut EP was reviewed on MuzikabLog last year, released their first official music video for their “The White lane” track. Finally we managed to get a glimpse of the band while getting “insane” snippets of weird things to find in a snowy forest. Check it out!

VIDEO: If You Pass Me By, The Border Surrender

The Border Surrender just released a music video for the track If You Pass Me By, from their EP Lean Season, which was reviewed on our blog earlier on this year.  Like their EP, the video is very glorious.  From the video, which is quite realistic, you can also realise how many things can happen at the same time in the same area.  Well up to you to decide what the exact meaning of the video is…

The 4 Complete Ed Sullivan Shows Starring The Beatles available on DVD

If you’re a Beatles fan, definitely you cannot afford to not buy the new double DVD ‘The 4 Complete Ed Sullivan Shows Starring The Beatles on DVD’.  One would as why?    The answer is simple!
Almost 50 years ago, when The Beatles played for the first time on a US tv station, specifically on Ed Sullivan variety talk show on Sunday, February 9, 1964, 86 percent of all TVs on at that hour, 73 million Americans tuned in.  It was the most-watched program in history to that point and remains one …

Short video documentary about Hurts

Irrelevant if you heard about the British electronic duo Hurts, this video / documentary is a must see if you are into 80′s kind of good music.  It’s impressive how much these two guys put into their music, no wonder their music is mind blowing.
In this video they talk about their music, the responsibility every band has to create something that people want to buy, cherish and appreciate.  If only all artists reason things out that way!  These guys are extremely aware of what they need to deliver to reach …

The Young Ones is a British TV series which started in 1982 features a hippie (Neil), a violent punk metal (Vyvyan), a cool person (Mike) and a would be anarchist (Rick).  It is a very unique series about four under graduate student sharing a house together, a must see.
Though what do these guys have to do with music?  In almost each of their episode, like MTV’s Beavis and Butt-head, there is always some featured music or band.  Though Rick the Anarchist, was clearly a fan of Cliff Richards.  Funny though …

This 1988 video, directed by Anton Corbijn, who also directed the Ian Curtis Biopic Control (2007), was released in 1988 to accompany the re-release of this single Atmosphere by Joy Division.
This dark and mind boggling video, features characters wearing black-hooded cloaks and white burial shrouds.  In fact, when released, it was heavily criticized from the public, who claimed that it mythologized the death of the band’s lead singer, Ian Curtis.
Whatever the public says, Joy Division wrote some of the ‘darkest and saddest songs’ around, even if they were not a …

The more I listen to the West Pole, the more I realise that The Gathering did an awesome job.  After Anneke’s leaving, I think most of the people thought it is over for The Gathering.  Let’s face it, after all her voice was their signiture.  But the Rutten brothers, founders of the band, being the good musicians that they are, did a good job in recreating the new Gathering, while sticking to their roots, writing vital, atmospheric and extravert rock music.
Below, you can see their first and latest music video …
